Take Frida
y off, then wake up early, about 4 a.m. Put your stuff into a car. Don't forget your camera, put music into radio, make a coffee and a few sandwiches for breakfast on motorway.
Drive about 900 km west, and stay 3 great days in Amsterdam, just walking around, you don't need much with you, maybe, weather?! yeah, it's helps a lot.
that was beautiful weekend and I don't mean relaxing weekend on the beach,
I'm rich of new experience, and full of new images, taking a break from routine...
being back yesterday, at midnight, after 8 hours drive, I really enjoyed it, don't ask if my legs did...

sounds like you had a much-needed trip away...i envy yr being able to just drive to a selection of different countries in europe! what fun you must have had...can't wait to see yr photos, ana...
sometimes i really long for the times in my 30's when i would do just that (except i'd drive 8 hours up into maine and stay for 2 weeks), but these days i feel more tied to the responsibilities of home, now that we actually OWN it.
however, i just put in today for 2 weeks off in october, & hope to visit a friend on cape cod for a bit as part of a trip south...
